Using Biblical passages and reflections from both the Gospels and Paul's writings in the New Testament, the key themes of community, stranger, hospitality, and friendship in the worlds of intellectual and developmental disabilities are explored and discussed. Six other theological themes arising out of inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are also described, with the conclusion that these themes and understandings are about everyone, not just people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
