| Abstract | Abstract The concept of accessibility is a constant concern in the lives of persons with disabilities. This model is taken from Christian tradition; however, equally meaningful examples can be found in all religious traditions. Based on Luke 3:21-22 and Luke 5:17-20, a pattern of accessibility is identified, and is used as a framework for the interpretation. The pattern of accessibility found in the encounter between Jesus and the person with a disability models how congregations can include all persons in the lives of their communities of faith. The God who is inclusive is accessible to all. |
